solar powered robotic mobiles

The mobiles use solar cells to convert sunlight into electricity, powering microprocessors and motors in order to make sounds and to animate themselves in improvisational ways. Wireless communication (Bluetooth) will be a feature of my latest works-in-progress, allowing the emergence of group behaviors in larger numbers of individual critters. 	Light-Powered Robotic Mobiles. I buildi solar-powered kinetic sculptures for public and private spaces. My interest is in emergent behaviors in motion and sound, and in promoting a sense of hope regarding the abundant availability of energy from our nearest star.
